Paratpara Yoga Classes & Series

Beg/Intermediate Yoga

This 90 minute class introduces the basic philosophy and principles of Paratpara Yoga. The poses are sequenced to open the energetic centers or chakras as well as reliably open the physical body. This sequence allows the appropriate removal of toxins, blocked energy and karmas. Completely supported and partially supported poses are used to re-educate the body on how to soften, let go and open up on the physical and energetic/chakra level.

Recommended for New and Intermediate level students.

 

Inner Strength Yoga

 

This 90 minute class expands on the basic philosophy and principles of Paratpara Yoga. The poses are sequenced to open the energetic centers or chakras as well as reliably open the physical body. This sequence allows the appropriate removal of toxins, blocked energy and karmas. Unsupported poses are added as well as completely supported and partially supported poses to re-educate the body on how to soften, let go and open up on the physical and energetic/chakra level.

 Recommended for Intermediate level students.

Deeper Within Yoga 

This 90 minute class deepens the philosophy and principles of Paratpara Yoga.The poses are sequenced to open the energetic centers or chakras as well as reliably open the physical body. This sequence allows the appropriate removal of toxins, blocked energy and karmas. Deeper angles are used to create a deeper level of clearing and a deeper experience of the Self. Supported, partially supported  and unsupported poses are used to re-educate the body on how to soften, let go and open up on the physical and energetic/chakra level.

Recommended for Intermediate and Advanced students or anyone who wants a deeper inner experience of their Self.

 

 Pregnancy Yoga Series

Paratpara's Pregnancy yoga is a holistic approach to pregnancy that helps moms-to-be uncover their natural strengths and intuition during this beautiful time in a woman's life. Pregnancy is a sacred moment in time. Pregnancy yoga helps you to love your body, connect with your baby, feel more relaxed, lessens the anxiety associated with the challenges ahead and savor the miracle of life.

Each session includes yoga breathing, yoga poses and guided relaxations in a 90-minute class especially designed to teach moms-to-be how to use yoga to prepare for a natural childbirth. You will learn yoga postures designed to release the tensions in the uterus and pelvic floor, find the appropriate muscles to use during delivery, open your back muscles, improve circulation and digestion, relieve fatigue & tensions and revitalize the internal organs.

This class is a great way to prepare for birth, physically, mentally and emotionally and a great way to make new friends and share concerns and experiences with other expectant mothers. Our Pregnancy yoga classes create a community of support for moms-to-be and inspire them mothers to deeply connect with their babies while preparing them for their new journey together.

Beginning Meditation Series

Sundays April 6th, 13th &20th 4pm

Meditation is one of the most powerful techniques to improve mental, emotional and physical well-being. Join Ann for this three session workshop to explore the basics of meditation. We will find your comfortable seated posture and explore a variety of techniques for meditation to find the one that works the best for you. Each 2 hour session builds on the previous session so it is important to attend all three sessions.  This series provides you with the tools needed to begin an easy and satisfying meditation practice.

 Hatha Yoga Classes

Beginning/Intermediate Yoga

This class is a beginning to intermediate level class. The teacher actively assist you with special instructions or adaptations of the poses for your current level of flexibility and strength. Each class lasts 90 minutes, beginning with a deep guided relaxation. It includes training in yoga breathing and yoga poses, and ends with a final guided relaxation/meditation and contemplation.

Recommended for New and Intermediate level students.

The beginning of a yoga class is important.

Please try to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the start of class.
